Since we are here to pay tribute to all of our great Indian writers and poets, there is a very famous saying within me: There is a strong urge to give a strong speech compared to Pen the Sword. Although I'm sure everybody knows its meaning, but very few people have thought about it.
Of course, the moment we imagine a pen, we connect it with nothing but the work of writing. How well does it write and whether it is smooth on paper or not. But that's the technical side! If we think artisticly, then it helps in writing or recording your emotions on a piece of paper. On the other hand, the sword is the weapon used for destruction. It can be used only by warriors or by those who have learned the art of using it. But no one can use a pen - whether it is a child, an adult, or an old man. If there is a writer, then he can use the pen to get desired results and can affect his audience. In fact, many great writers have revolutionized the society. For example, the French Revolution was the result of the writings of great French writers, such as Rousseau.
Words have the power to create many emotions like love, empathy, hatred, anger, etc. Thus, the writing work is very powerful in its own way and it should be seen with respect and astonishment. The power of journalists and writers lies in a pen. Yes, ladies and gentlemen you heard it right! After all, there is a great saying that the pen is powerful in comparison to the sword and it is powerful in all cases. Compared to a sword, a pen which holds power is very big. Apart from this, the effect of a pen is far and wide, whereas the effect of a sword is short-lived. This is the reason that it is said that a pen which can achieve can not be achieved with the sharp edges of the sword. This is the tip of the pen, which leads to all miracles and works ink medium.
Clearly, this is the saying that pen is powerful, it shows the power to write. And this power is so magical that it can bring the world behind you and change the feeling of hatred into love, fight in friendship and fight peacefully.
I hope all of you will remember those classical stories which our grandparents used to tell us, and the impact of those stories has been on us in our growing years. We still cherish those stories and remember the lessons learned from them. Therefore, stories and great books never die and remain timeless. After all, you can forget a war, but never an excellent story. War only destroys and annihilates mankind, while a book teaches both and pleases. All this clearly supports the fact that the pen is actually stronger than the sword.
Books allow us independent thinking and never bind us, whereas war not only destroys but also gives the weak people and poverty as well as the enslavement of the deprived ones. While war destroys, produces books. Books help us to become fearless and develop personality, on the other hand war creates fear in all. No one can accomplish anything through war, but a complete destruction of countries, culture and humanity, while books look at the world through various eyes and without actually knowing anywhere in different places, countries and islands Work as a medium to find out
A great writer has immense power within him / because he / she can change the world, erase the evil and can help the world progress. In history, there have been such unprecedented writers who had not only charisma but they were also great reformers. Please allow me to mention some of them, i.e. Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, John Keats, Adam Smith, Machiavelli, Plato, Maxim Gorky, Thomas Pine, Marx, Stewart Mill etc.
So believe in creative power instead of violence and encourage the people around you to adopt non-violent methods and help restore peace on this earth. There is nothing that can not achieve a great job. If you have a habit of becoming a writer then you have to come forward and share your thoughts like our journalists and other authors do. Honorable Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and My Dear Fellow Students - Good morning one and everyone!
I would like to thank my teacher that I have the opportunity to stand in front of everyone and give a speech today. The subject of my speech is The Pen is the Mighty from the Sword. Needless to say, this is a very popular phrase. We all know that the sword is a very powerful weapon and can give heavy power to the person holding it. It is so powerful that with it you can bow down to people and establish their domination.
However, you can make a person physically slaves, but you can not slave over your heart and heart for that matter. This power lies with the pen. Pen, though small in size, is considered more powerful than sword. Through the sword, you make people slaves against their will and it can not last for long because one day your supremacy will fulfill its doom by the forces of retribution.
Does history give us enough evidence to realize that the name of Alexander the Great, the Napoleonic Bonaparte and Hitler's military glory was somewhat less and easily changed into anonymity. On the contrary, the great writers, as well as the teachings and statements of philosophers, are remembered by people for eternity. It does not die down and it has lasting effect. In fact, philosophers, writers, poets and scientists never die, but live through our exemplary works in our hearts forever.
Long-lasting empires can not be made through swords, but can be made through the power of the pen. Powerful views of many great philosophers and intellectuals are known to destroy dictatorships and monarchies in different parts of the world. It is a pen of writers who have encouraged our youth to strike against injustice and give a tough fight to the corrupt authority.
Powerful ideas coming down from the author's pen helped man emerge from the barber phase. The ability of a man to tell his thoughts on a piece of paper. What makes man better than animals? This is not his physical skill, but his mental faculty and the way he thinks differently. Therefore, it is not a sword, but there is a pen, from which powerful thoughts flow down and make humans superior to others on this earth.
Thus, in the end, I would like to say that violence never helps and less violence is encouraged, our place on this earth will be better. Therefore, the pen is really powerful than the sword, which can be achieved through language and ideas can not be achieved through violence and the power of persuasion is more effective than the effect of violence. Besides, peace is one that carries a noble power and breaks all false confusions associated with violence and terrorism.
So follow the path of non-violence and influence the world with your written words.

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen - I heartily welcome all of you in today's workshop on creative writing. Apart from this, please allow me to introduce our very special guests, i.e. Shobhaa De and Vikram Seth to our congregation today.
My happiness is the presence of such unprecedented writers and of course there is no limit to such a great audience. Before we start with the workshop, I would like to give a speech on a very relevant subject which will be suitable for today's opportunities, meaning that the pen is stronger than the sword.
I am sure everybody present here should be familiar with this axiom. Are not you But I want to take one step further and explain what it represents at a deeper level and why it is important to highlight the power of words in the current violent world. Since ancient times, the sword has always been the most powerful and important part in shaping history. People appreciate its heroism and success, which brings it to the battleground. But this is also the result of a wild massacre and bloodshed. It does not create, but disrupts and eliminates life.
On the other hand, if we look at the pen, it may look very small, but its underlying strength is very strong compared to the sword. Apparently, you can not fathom its deep hidden power, but when you start using it to move the world according to your opinion, then you realize its true hidden power. The pen, therefore, is working in oblivion and is bringing more and more rewards and certainly can bring success to the sword than ever.
The proverb clearly breaks the confusion of merging with the sword and confirms that it is actually the art of writing that finally conquers.
The proverb remembers the art of writing and indicates the fact that:
- Compared to the mighty warriors, the authors earned more power;
