Later, in 1982, he joined Radio DeeJay, ultimately becoming the anchor of DeeJay Television, the pioneer Italian music video program on Italia 1.

Transitioning from politics to television, Scotti served as a member of the Italian Socialist Party’s Chamber of Deputies from 1987 to 1992. His television career, predominantly on Canale 5, features iconic quiz shows like Chi vuol essere milionario? (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?), Passaparola (The Alphabet Game), and The Money Drop. Notably, he directed and co-hosted various shows, showcasing his multifaceted talents.
In 2008, Scotti returned to Radio Milano International as a host and assumed the role of deputy president of Monradio. Following the conclusion of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2011, he continued hosting The Money Drop until 2013.
