I would like to say that all the honorable, respected headmaster, teacher and my dear friends, I would love to say hello. My name is New Tyagi, I read in class 8. All of us have gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday, October 2, my dear friends. On this day, the Father of the Nation was born in Porbandar in Gujarat in 1869. These festivals are very important to us. Mahatma Gandhi's full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, although he is also famous all over the world as the Father of the Nation, Gandhiji and Bapu. In the form of Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Bapu is celebrated in the country, whereas in the whole world, it is celebrated as International Non-Violence Day.
Bapu was born in a very small town of the country, though his work was very great, which no one could prevent from spreading all over the world. He was a person who trusted in getting independence from India under the guidance of non-violence through British rule. He was the guide of non-violence, according to him, this is the only effective method of achieving freedom from British rule. Bapu was a great freedom fighter who gave his whole life in the struggle of India's freedom.
After realizing the real pain of the Indians, he started taking part in many movements with Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Non-Cooperation Movement, Civil Disobedience and Quit India Movement are the campaigns that they have run for India's independence. He went to jail many times but never lost his patience and continued his fight peacefully. Bapu's entire life (for the present and future generations) is a perfect example of patriotism, dedication, nonviolence, simplicity and perseverance. Gandhi jubilee is celebrated by Indian people with a lot of preparations every year. The purpose of celebrating this festival is to give a felicitation to Bapu and to tell the future generations about the struggle made by Bapu to get independence from British rule. It teaches us to be open to our motherland with all eyes open eyes. I would like to share a great statement that you were asked by most of the Mahatma Gandhi.

I would like to give a speech on this great occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. However, first of all, I would like to thank my class teacher who gave me this opportunity on this national occasion. My dear friends, we are here to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti (October 2, the birth day of Mahatma Gandhi). This is an auspicious opportunity which gives us a chance to pay tribute to a great patriot leader of the country. It is celebrated all over the world as National (in the form of Gandhi Jayanti) and International level (International Nonviolence Day).
Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, I would like to focus on the life history of the Father of the Nation; Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar of Gujarat. His affectionate name was Karamchand Gandhi and Putlibai. After taking primary and 12th pass, Bapu went to England in 1888 to take a degree in law. After completing the law, he returned to India in 1915 and started taking part in India's freedom movement. When he once became a victim of racism in South Africa, who badly affected his soul, he started to oppose the social evil of racism.
After returning to India, he met Gopal Krishna Gokhale and joined the movement of Indian freedom struggle to raise his voice against the British rule. In order to achieve India's independence, he started various movements like the non-cooperation movement in 1920, the Dandi March in 1930 and the Quit India Movement in 1942. He was a great patriot leader, due to his constant efforts, in 1947 the British were forced to leave the country. We celebrate his birthday to pay tribute to him and thank him for giving us a free India.

As we all know that all of us are here to celebrate a lovely festival called Gandhi Jayanti, on this occasion, I want to give a speech to all of you. My dear friends, October 2 is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. We celebrate this day with full enthusiasm for paying homage to the Father of the Nation; as well as remembering his courageous works in the way of freedom struggle for the country from the British rule. We celebrate Gandhi Jayanti as a major national holiday throughout India. Mahatma Gandhi's full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and he is also famous as Bapu and the Father of the Nation.

On October 2, international international is celebrated as non-violence day as he remained a preacher of non-violence throughout his life. On June 15, 2007, the United Nations general body has been declared as the International Nonviolence Day on 2nd October. We will always remember Bapu as a symbol of peace and truth. Bapu was born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, a small town in Gujarat, while doing extensive work throughout his life. He was an advocate and he took his law degree from England and advocated in South Africa. In the name of "experiment with truth" in his biography, he told his entire history of independence. As long as he did not get freedom, he fought with full patience and courage against the British rule for India's independence throughout his life.
A person of simple life and high thinking thought was Gandhiji, whom he placed in front of us as an example. They were anti-smoking, drinking, untouchability, and anti-vegetarian. Wine is completely prohibited by Indian Government on their birth anniversary. He was the guide of truth and non-violence who started the Satyagraha movement for India's independence. On Rajghat of New Delhi, it is celebrated with a lot of preparations such as prayers, flowers, paying tribute to Gandhiji by playing his favorite song "Ragupati Raghav Raja Ram". I would like to share with you one of his greatest statements: "The person is a creature made up of his thoughts, the one who thinks he becomes the same".

I would like to give a speech on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. First of all, I would like to thank my classmate who gave me a chance to give a speech on such a great occasion. As we all know that on October 2 every year, we all gather to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. My dear friends, Gandhi Jayanti is not celebrated not only in my own country, but it is celebrated throughout the world as international non-violence day because he was a guide of non-violence throughout his life.
His full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, though he is famous as Bapu and the Father of the Nation and Mahatma Gandhi. He was born on 2 October 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. On this day, Mahatma Gandhi is presented with a prayer, flower, hymn etc. by the Prime Minister of India and the President at his place of worship on Rajghat of New Delhi. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated to remember Gandhi in all the states and Union Territories of India, who always respected all the religions and communities with one eye. On this day, the doctrines and prayers of holy religious books are read, especially their most beloved hymn "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram". Prayer meetings are held in the state capitals in the country. As in the form of a national holiday by the Government of India, all schools, colleges, offices etc. are closed all over the country.
Mahatma Gandhi was a great man who fought a lot in achieving India's independence from British rule and played an important role. It was not only the path-seeker of the unique way of nonviolence to get freedom for India against British rule but he proved to the world that freedom can be attained peacefully on the path of non-violence. They are still remembered as symbols of peace and truth among us.
