The Form Elements
HTML form elements, in comparison to other HTML elements that are used for displaying and presenting a Web page, help in creating interactive Web applications. With the use of form elements, you can create a client-server communication, which actually add interactivity to the website. The purpose of adding form elements on a Web page is to perform online transactions, such as purchasing an item.
