While leaving the hall it is sufficient to say Thank you Sir/Madam” In my opinion, considering the high degree of formalness, you refrain from saying anything more like "Have a good/ nice day" or "It was a great learning experience” etc. Remember, you have to 'show' them not 'tell' them that it was a great learning experience for you.
