Honorable Chief Guest, Principal, Vice Principal, Teacher and my dear friends - Congratulations to one and all!
Thanks for getting together in the school auditorium and doing this event. Today's opportunity is dedicated to protecting our environment and making honest efforts to stop plastic pollution. I, Priyanka Nangia of Class XII (B), will be your host for today and share your opinions and thoughts and I would like to address the topic "Beat Plastic Pollution". However, this is an open discussion and any person can come to the platform independently and can make us aware of our thoughts. It would be really good if we can all discuss together and explore possibilities of getting rid of the environment of toxic plastic waste.
Need to spread awareness around us to protect our environment and ban the use of plastic. As we all know, our country had hosted the 2018 World Environment Day which was held on June 5. Due to the theme of this year's event being "beet plastic pollution", the world has come together to deal with the pollution caused by disposable plastic. The world has realized that it is time to protect and improve our environment because it is directly related to the well being of the people and economic development around the world, which is why 5th June dedicated specifically to celebrate World Environment Day And people are raising the awareness.
The celebration of June 5 gives us an important opportunity by increasing our knowledge of the environment and on the shoulders side by side for protection of our planet Earth, in which eliminating plastic pollution is an important step. It is important to organize seminars and workshops among different communities and institutions to keep a strong foundation for cities with cleaner and greenery.
Besides, what you can do in your day-to-day life to protect your environment from pollution:
- Stop using plastic bottles;
- Stop using polyethylene bags to carry any object;
- Use clay cups instead of using plastic cups for coffee or tea;
- Use recycled products; Clothing for that matter;
- Never throw plastic on any side of the road or in the streets;
- Organizing community festivals for city cleaning program;
- Try clogging, which means walking in the roadside while riding the rags;
- Spread awareness among people about the dangers of plastic pollution.
Plastic pollution is considered to be the most direct threat to the living species on Earth and to survive for our environment. However, if we take drastic steps and use advanced techniques for disposal of waste, we will be able to progress towards creating a clean and healthy environment.
All this is from my end and now I would like to request to our chief guest, Mrs.. - Come on the stage and say a few words in this regard.
Thank you all for patiently listening to me!
2-Speech on Beat Plastic Pollution
Greetings of the day to ladies and gentlemen - welcome to today's speech!
The topic of today's speech is "Beat Plastic Pollution". As we all know how much the world is suffering from pollution and its effects. And the worst form of pollution which every country is struggling with plastic pollution. Therefore, there is an urgent need to adopt preventive measures and keep this problem in the bay.
If we find our roots then we know that mankind has been born in the lap of nature. Humans exploited the resources provided by nature and it continued for thousands of years. But what we see in the present time is that the greed of man does not know any limit and we are bent on destroying the nature, which has nourished us. We are not only exploiting resources through unfair means, but also polluting our land and avoiding it from the mess and waste. Therefore pollution has become a global concern and its results can be seen around us. Plastic was one of the greatest inventions of mankind. However, unfortunately, this mother has become the biggest opponent of nature. Plastic pollution has become a serious issue in front of the world and it is causing great harm to our nature and the living species in it.
The reason why plastic is used is that it comes with a lot of benefits, as it is flexible, versatile, light, moisturized and cheap compared to its counterparts. This is what makes us totally indifferent to the harmful effects of plastic on our environment. For this our huge hunger has made tremendous growth not only in its consumption but also in the level of pollution. Even in a small piece of plastic, there is the stability to sustain the earth for many years. This is a type of boon, which gradually turns into a bay because we continue to use plastic products and then finally throw them in their surroundings. Plastic is durable in nature, which prevents it from easily disintegrating, making it the main source of pollution these days.
But the best part is that in the form of our government and community, municipal groups and businesses, people are taking stringent measures against the use of disposable plastic. Non-biodegradable weight wipes such as grocery bags, plastic bottles, plastic drinking stitches, stealers, takeaway foam containers, plastic-lined coffee cups have been re-applied already.
Waste generated from plastic is undoubtedly a big concern for all of us and we need to work together to be able to deal with this problem because this waste pollutes our water bodies, soil, air and food. It is high time that we all work really hard to preserve and make it healthy so that every living species can escape from its optimum.
All this is from my end, thank you very much!
3-Speech on Beat Plastic Pollution
Welcome to Ladies & Gentlemen - welcome to today's speech!
how are you all? I hope that you will find this day in the best souls. Today's speech theme is "Beat Plastic Pollution". Beat plastic pollution, as we all know, is the subject of this year's World Environment Day. This is clearly a call to action for each of us because we expect to come together for one reason, that is to fight with the great environmental challenges presented to us. This year, our country played the role of host and chose the theme accordingly, that is, urging countries around the world to make changes in their daily lives by taking the burden of their natural landscape, our wildlife as well as plastic pollution. Very Health
While plastics prove to be valuable to us, we have become dependent on disposable or single-use plastic products, which are leading to serious environmental results. At global level, one million bottles of plastic are being purchased every single minute and there is no reason to be surprised, we consume five trillion single-use plastic bags. Overall, more than half the plastic we use is only a single use.
Almost one third of the packaging we use as a plastic, avoids the waste collection and disposal system, which means that it blocks the streets of our city, which has pollution around us and our natural environment. Looks dirty. Every year, about 13 million tons of plastic is being dumped in our oceans where it catches the coral reefs and creates a serious threat to the weakened subspecies. Plastics dumping into the oceans can encircle our planet Earth four times in a year and can maintain its original form for almost 1,000 years before it is completely dissolved.
There are many things that we can beat plastic pollution, such as going to the restaurant and asking them to stop using plastic straws, to make people carry their own coffee mugs to the workplace and to pressure the local officials tell. Wasting Their City Here's what you can do:
- Take your bag in shopping stores;
- Do not waste plastic waste especially on the road;
- Avoid using plastic cutlery;
- If you inspect any plastic waste around you, keep it in a Refuge box
By placing our conscientious efforts, we can actually free our environment with these toxic waste products and build a clean and green city. Do you know that plastic also acts as a magnet that has the potential to attract other pollutants with metal, dioxin and pesticides.
Therefore, I request to all to completely stop the use of plastic and switch to environmentally friendly products. That's all I have to say.
Thanks to all of you!
4-Speech on Beat Plastic Pollution
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen - I welcome you all at National Environment Day Program!
The subject of today's program is Beat Plastic Pollution, but before we beat plastic pollution, it is very important for all of us to understand how and how the plastic is polluting our environment. Let's take a look at the basics of plastic pollution:
- In every year, 500 billion plastic bags are being broadcast in the world market;
- About one million plastic bottles are being used every minute;
- More than 8 million tons of plastic is being dumped in the oceans and other water bodies every year - equal to a truck full of garbage in every minute;
- In the preceding decade, more plastics were produced than previous previous centuries;
- Plastic produces around 10 percent of the entire garbage;
- Today more than half the plastic products used are disposable after a single use.
In fact, "Beat plastic pollution" was the theme for World Environment Day 2018, which has led governments, communities, industries as well as individuals to unite for this reason and to find lasting alternatives and curbing immediate production and disposable Urged to stop excessive use. Plastic products that pollute our water bodies, destroy marine life and also endanger human health.
On World Environment Day, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change - Dr. Harshavardhana said, "If every one of us considers at least one environmental friendly every day to our green social responsibility, then billions will have environment-friendly work every day, a giant planet moving towards" Greener planet " it happens.
Fortunately, our government has committed to spread and spread awareness about World Environment Day celebrations, in which there are many exciting activities along with events to make strong public opinion and ask for their participation. To start a beach cleaning campaign simultaneously with pan-Indian plastic cleaning campaigns in public areas, forests and national reserves - India will lead the program by setting an example explicitly for others.
In fact, India is emerging as a leader; Given the fact that we have the highest recycling rate in the world. It can help a lot in monitoring plastic pollution. After organizing World Environment Day 2018 in our country, the Government of India is fast moving forward to deal with this cause of global concern.
It is a high time that not only our government, but we take the resolution of protecting our environment as responsible global citizens and are actively involved in protecting our mother earth. Therefore, women and gentlemen have pledged to stop plastic pollution and protect our environment from every possible danger.
Now, I want to invite those interested to viewers to come to the stage and say a few words in this regard, as well as suggest some effective steps to deal with plastic pollution.
Thank you all for being such a patient listener.
