It is said that Mughal ruler Akbar built many such places, one of which is Akbar's Tomb (Akbar Tomb) which is also known by the name of the common Sikandra (Sikandra).

Akbar Tomb History

Akbar's tomb was built by Emperor Akbar himself, but it could not be completed when he survived, after which it was completed by the Jahangir, which was the son of Akbar.

Construction of Akbar's tomb began in 1605, which was completed in 1613 and it took almost eight years to complete its construction. The time it takes to produce it tells how beautiful it is made.

This mausoleum is four kilometers from Agra, it is called Sikandra. Later it was named Sikandra by Sikandar Lodhi. Its first floor was constructed by Akbar, but after his death, the remaining four floors were made.

Akbar's Tomb Architecture 

In its text, the nature of many religions is reflected, which is its specialty. This tomb remains square. This Tomb of Five Plains is wonderful in its own right. The bottom tier is the largest and then as you go up, its width is reduced and the pyramidumama becomes its main thing.

The middle of this part of the southern part is the gateway and it is written in the blue letters of Qur'an's rectangle. A corridor descended from it leads to a hard-walled monument. Here is the grave of Akbar, which is surrounded by the building from all sides and it is made from brick and lime.

It has different display of different colors. It has five floors and the topmost one is made of white marble while the other four are made of red sandstone. This building has remained square and the umbrellas were built around it, which were made in every Mughal construction.

The umbrellas built on the second floor are pyramidal and the marble has been used, while the rest of the peak is domesized. If you talk about the third and fourth floors, then there are arches and all are ordered, which are very attractive in their own right and each of them has umbrellas, which increase its decorum.

The meditation has remained in the middle of this morning and it is seen in Arab style specimens. It is said that the construction of this mausoleum is very different from the rest of Mughal construction buildings and there is no dome in it as much as the other place and this same thing makes it different too.

This tomb is surrounded by a garden which is very amazing in itself. The garden is divided into four parts, made on the lines of the shape. The four parts are seen from one another to a higher part, from which a small groove emerges.

The garden has been taken from all four sides by a gateway which has been built from the southern part to the imperial gate. In other directions, the pseudo-doors have been made to enhance its beauty, which also keeps the wonderful beauty.

Entrance (northern) -

In this, the gate of the north is almost destroyed now, which was used to be main at one time. Although the gateway to the north and the south is almost the same as the Batamangila building of different sizes. You can also call these rooms and they connect with one rectangular door in each other.

If you talk further, there is a sloping doorway in the center of all these gates. On this door, a semi-domed structure has been constructed, on which there is a vaulted ar constructed on one side. Small umbrellas have been planted above them.

Southern Gateway -

It is called the main entrance, which is rectangular and it is two storeys. Two sections have been made in the east and west of this gate which is present in the front and there is one gal above the one in it. Its center part is raised above the popes, in which two umbrellas have been made.

If it speaks of its outermost part, it is carved with colored stones and the art of mosaic is also reflected in it. The central arched entrance has been distinguished from the Persian language and if it is talked about its main attraction, four pavements have been made in four corners of the platform.

Glass castle

There is another building in this tomb called the glass palace and it is very famous for its beauty and it is present in the south-eastern part of the tomb. It is said that it was made by Jaggir separately. This three-storeyed building is made of bricks, gum lime and la sandal stone.

The northern façade of this building is divided into several sections. Each section has geometrical shapes in its own right. There are windows and tiles above their roof have been used.
