Who was Rani Padmavati?

Rani Padmavati was known throughout India for her beauty. But there is no document in history about the existence of Rani Padmini. Some people consider him to be right, while some mere spec. The main reason for this happening is that Alauddin Khilji and Ratan Singh's contemporary Amir Khusar did not describe the Padmanese in their works.

The first description of Rani Padmani is found in Malik Mohammad Jaisi's epic Padmavat, which is a treatise about 240 years after the incident. Also, Padmini is found in popular beliefs and songs in Rajasthan. Even a statue of Padmavati i.e. Padmini is installed in a temple built in Chittodgad of Rajasthan.

It is believed that Queen Padmani was the goddess of beauty. The description about the appearance of the queen is so great that if she used to drink water, her throat would have seen water going down. Let us know about the history of Rani Padmani

Who was Rani Padmani?

Rani Padmini or Rani Padmavati's father was Gandharvasen, who was the king of the province (Sri Lanka) and the mother's name was Champawati. They were married to Raval Ratan Singh, Rajput king of Chittor. It is believed that Raval Ratan Singh was married to the former. After that, he married Padmini. Rani Padmavati was extremely beautiful and attractive from childhood itself. It is believed that the queen had a parrot which was named Hiramani which she used to speak.

According to the belief, a traitor of the King praised the beauty of the Queen in front of Alauddin Khilji, ruler of the Khilji dynasty. The Khaliji heard all this and became stunned to see the queen. He attacked Chittor's fort. For the agreement, he put the condition in front of Ratan Singh that Rani Padmani considers his sister as equal and wants to meet him.

Upon listening to Sultan, Ratan Singh agreed to avoid his fury and save his state. Rani Padmini agreed to show Alauddin with his face in the glass. When Alauddin heard the news, he was very happy that he wished to make the queen awake.

After seeing Rani Padmani, Khilji pretended to be in agreement with Raja Ratan Singh and when he returned to his camp, Alauddin was walking with Ratan Singh for some time. After seeing the opportunity, Ratan Singh was arrested and demanded for Padmini. Chauhan Rajput Senapati Gora and Badal sent a message to Khilji walking on a move to defeat Sultan that the Padmini would be handed over to Sultan the next morning.

The next day 150 guards left the fort towards Khilji's camp. The Guardians stopped where Ratan Singh had been held captive. Seeing the parents, Ratan Singh thought that the palanquin came from the fort and the queen along with them would also come here, she considered herself to be very humiliated.

Those parents did not have their queen or daughter-in-law, and suddenly suddenly they got a fully armed soldier and rescued Ratan Singh and stole the horse from the stables of Khilji and ran away to the fort on horseback. Gora bravely fought Veergati in this encounter, while Badal, Ratan Singh, took it to the safe fort.

Sultan came angry and ordered his army to attack Chittor. The army tried hard to enter the fort, but failed. Now, Khilji decides to siege the fort. This siege was so stiff that the food supply gradually ended in the fort.

In the end, Ratan Singh ordered to open the door and he got Ratan Singh Veeragati fighting against his soldiers. Upon hearing these instructions, Padmini thought that now Sultan's army will kill all the men of Chittor. Now Chittoth's Matteo had two options, either to be committed to the johar or to insult him before the victorious army.

He lit a huge chita and all the other clothes of Chittor jumped into it and thus the enemy kept watching standing outside. On the death of his lady, the man of Chittor had nothing left in his life. All the men of Chittor wear kesari cloth and turban and fight with the enemy army until they all end.

When the victorious army entered the fort, they faced with ashes and burnt bones. The memory of women who have done jawar is still alive in folk songs, where their glorious work is said to be done.
